Overcoming disabilities

Disability is the being unable to do something due to physical or mental problems. People with disabilities need a special care and attention however, that does not mean that they cannot be independent. Through my experience to the Future Center I have seen and learnt that with hard work and determination even people with down syndromes can overcome their disabilities. Many people who overcome their disabilities now can work, marry and have a normal life. But that cannot be achieved without giving them the chance to improve and learn even if it is slow and hard, helping them is necessary.

·        Some Emiratis are ethnocentric especially towards labors like India for an example. Some call them drivers and workers.

Discrimination in class

Ms. Jane Eliott a third grade teacher gave her students an experience of how to be discriminated and demonstrated the effects of prejudicing even on small children. She convinced the students that blue eye people are superior to brown eye so, a sense of discrimination was put into their minds. The results were bad as she said"I watched marvelous cooperative children turn into vicious discriminative little third graders in space of fifteen minutes". And that demonstrated how discrimination can also affect our academic level. The feeling of superiority or inferiority changes our performance psychologically into the better or the worse.
